AM SKIPPER NOON
Skipper Noon is a singer-songwriter, creative visionary, and storyteller born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia. From an early age, creativity became a natural form of expression for Skip. Drawing, writing poetry, and creating short stories were a daily part of his childhood.
What began as a love for writing evolved into a passion for music when a childhood friend recognized Skip’s gift for storytelling and encouraged him to start writing songs. To their surprise, they soon discovered that Skip could sing as well.
Skip joined forces with his childhood friend and their longtime production partner, whom they had known since middle and high school. Together, they formed the writing and production team Phenom.
Phenom went on to produce the single “Roger That” for Young Money, featuring Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga. Their growing reputation led to management by The Bar Music Group’s Troy Taylor and Ezekiel Lewis.
Troy Taylor is renowned for his work as a vocal producer with legendary artists including Whitney Houston and Boyz II Men, and is widely recognized for discovering Trey Songz, later serving as his executive producer.
Phenom had the opportunity to work with Trey Songz on his 2010 mixtape #LemmeHolDatBeat, producing three songs, including two featuring hooks written by Skip.
Today, Skip has taken his creativity to the next level with his own solo imprint, SoFu. His artistry is defined by unconventional storytelling, bold melodies, memorable hooks, and a distinctive vocal tone that sets him apart.
